Purchase of Goods
All goods sold by DressingUpBox are done so strictly in accordance with the law.
All our prices are inclusive, including VAT where applicable, with only the addition of postage & packing. Prices are correct at time of publication (E&OE). We reserve the right to change, alter or amend any price without notice. We are not obliged to refund the difference if an item is reduced from the original price and if an item increases in price we are not obliged to sell at the previous lower price.
As a general guide VAT is applied to:
- Adult Clothing, Accessories, Toys & Games, Postage & Packing
VAT is not applied to:
- Child Clothing and Books.
- HMCE class Robes ie. Child Capes as accessories and therefore are subject to VAT.
All major credit or debit cards (as listed) are accepted by SagePay for secure online payments.
We accept payment via Telephone for all debit and credit cards listed. We no longer accept personal cheques however we welcome electronic payment.
Credit Card Security
No credit or debit card information is retained by DressingUpBox as all transactions are concluded via SagePay. Please notice that during checkout you will be using SagePay secure servers to complete your orders.

Please ensure you fill in a contact telephone number and a valid e-mail address, these are vital should we need to contact you for any reason regards your order.
If some elements of your order are temporarily out of stock, we may ship the available items and send the outstanding items at a later date, at no extra cost to you. We will always advise you via e-mail if this is the case. You may cancel this order if you would rather not wait.
Order Cancellation – Before Shipping
If you wish to cancel all or part of your order before it is shipped, please do so immediately via Telephone, e-mail or Fax. You will be notified by e-mail to confirm your cancellation. (The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000)
Returns – Cancelled Order – After Shipping
All goods purchased from DressingUpBox may be returned back to DressingUpBox for refund within 7 working days from receipt of delivery, (The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000)
Before sending the parcel back to us, please contact us by phone on 0117 230 0243 or e-mail at
firstname.lastname@example.org for a Returns Authorisation Number. Please quote your original Order or Invoice number.
All items for return must be received back in its original condition and packaging. As we are not a manufacturer we must receive the item back as you received it. Any product returned with damaged or missing packaging will not be refunded.
An e-mail with instructions and an RA (Returns Authorisation) attachment will be sent to you. Please follow the checklist to ensure speedy processing of your return.
We would advise using a Royal Mail tracked service for returns as you can check at www.royalmail.com when the goods have arrived at DressingUpBox.
Postage costs are not refunded when you return any cancelled orders to us.
Refunds are usually applied within one week of receipt; we will however action all refunds within 30 calendar days of receipt.
Any returned goods that we receive outside of this Returns Policy will be classed as Not Authorised.
Items Not Authorised for return will not be refunded. These will be returned to you upon your instruction, or failing this, they will be destroyed within 91 calendar days from their receipt back to us.
Returns – Faulty Goods
Please advise us as soon as possible via email or telephone within 7 calendar days from the date of delivery.
Please note we are not obliged to refund to for faults caused by fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, abnormal working conditions, misuse or alteration or repair of the goods without authorisation.

Please note that some colours may alter slightly from what you see on the screen to the product you receive, depending on your monitor screen resolution and colour and display settings.
Should a cause for complaint arise, please contact us immediately, and we will do our utmost to rectify any issues.
We want to protect your privacy. Therefore, we will only use any personal information collected in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. The information we collect is for the purpose of processing your order quickly and efficiently, and to provide you with the best possible service. We will not pass your personal details to any third party, and we do not store your credit/debit card numbers. These are only used by SagePay to authorise each transaction.
By submitting an order, you are accepting the Terms & Conditions of DressingUpBox.
Item packaging may vary on items sourced from our alternative suppliers. We will be happy to pay for the return of any alternative item supplied that you are not fully happy with, provided you stay within these terms and conditions.
DressingUpBox reserves the right to cancel any order or part order without notice and refund any payment made in full.
No returns will be accepted without an RA (Returns Authorisation).
Working day means every day of a calendar year apart from weekends and statutory Public Holidays.
No Images or text can be reproduced from this site without permission from DressingUpBox.
