Delicious! As it is with any Halloween punch, a frozen

a delightfully scary look! Original recipe yield: 1 gallon.

- 1 (.13 ounce) envelope unsweetened orange soft drink mix
- 2 cups white sugar
- 3 quarts cold water
- 1 litre ginger ale

soft drink mix, orange soft drink mix, sugar and water until solids
are dissolved. Combine with chilled ginger ale just before serving.
Dip the frozen hand briefly in warm water, then peel off the glove.

Halloween Fancy Dress Association Safety
We at Dressing-Up-Box want you to have a safe Halloween.
Here are the top 10 tips for trick or treating:-
- Always ensure that there is adequate adult supervision - never
trick or treat alone. We suggest one adult for every three children.
Adults - make a regular headcount of trick or treaters.
- Plan a local route and stick to it. Walk on the pavement and
only cross the road at well lit, safe places. Do not go into poorly
lit areas. Young children should hold an adult's hand near roads.
- Always carry a torch so that you can be seen in the dark - you
can always old it under your chin for a scarey look.
- Take care with your costume - costumes should be large enough
so that warm clothes can be worn underneath and should be flame
retardant. Do not run while wearing the costume. Shoes should
be comfortable and fit well - even if they don't match the costume.
Incorporate reflective material in a costume to make the wearer
more visable in the dark.
- Avoid wearing masks while walking from house to house. If masks
or hoods obstruct a child's vision, use face paints instead. If
an adult is in costume, do not drive while wearing a mask or hood.
- Do not carry weapons or props - this will intimidate householders
and passersby.
- Do not cut across lawns or parks as there may be hidden objects.
- Only visit houses with Halloween decorations such as a carved
pumpkin in the window - not veryone will welcome trick or treaters,
so please respect their view.
- Do not enter the homes of strangers - only accept treats in
the doorway and thank them for the treat. Do not give them a trick!
- Ask an adult to check the treats before eating them - you may
be allergic!

Halloween Fancy Dress Witches Broomstick Game
This is a musical game, but you can play and just "say" the chant. It goes like this:
Pass the witches' broom stick all around the room,
while the music's playing quickly pass the broom,
anyone is out who lets the broomstick drop,
or the one who has it when the music stops!
The children stand in a circle, and while they say the chant a broomstick is passed very quickly around the circle. If the broomstick is dropped that person is out, and whoever has the broomstick on the word out at the end of the chant is out. You can either send the person is out to the middle of the circle for just the next round of the game, or you play elimination until only one person is left. The kids absolutely LOVE this game!!
